Many patients come to see Stephanie because they have back pain, knee injury, ankle sprain, or a sports injury and want treatment to remedy this painful inconvenience that's disrupting their life, sleep patterns or enjoyment of their favourite physical activities in Vancouver like Running, Cycling or Golf. Stephanie works with them to treat the current injury, but can also help to improve their overall physical condition for everyday muscle tone, balance and posture - useful in injury prevention and for improving a sense of overall well-being.
Because of her years of involvement in Canadian Olympic level competitive sport, Stephanie is also consulted by professional sports athletes to help them recover from injury, help keep them in top form, and build programs using STOTT Pilates techniques to keep their bodies working in harmony and balance to prevent injury from happening in the first place. Remember, prevention is better than a cure...
Stephanie is also passionate about helping those with a neurological condition or damage to enjoy a better quality of life, mobility and functional ability by transferring the postures and exercises used in Pilates to improve their activities of daily living. She has linked the foundations of the Bobath approach to those used in STOTT Pilates and plans to continue her development in Neuro Rehab.

Because of the pilates work that I do with Stephanie my mobility and balance have significantly improved. Her professional rehab has not only helped me physically but also enlightened me in understanding my body mechanics making my busy days a lot easier. I never thought I would see the day that I would say “I can’t wait for my next physio appointment!” Thanks Steph!

I am a registered nurse and I had a very bad neck and back injury a few years ago. I was doing all my rehab but was still having a lot of chronic pain. I had tried medications, massage therapy and going to the gym with a personal trainer. I was working out as often as I could to strengthen my body to get it back to how it was pre-injury. Trying pilates was the workout that I had been missing. It was a complete workout which strengthened my entire body to the point where I was no longer in any pain and my body was strong and toned again. I feel my best when I complete a Pilates session and owe a great deal of my healing and strength to Stephanie!

At our first meeting, you asked me what was my goal? I replied, to ski again. Honestly, I thought to myself, who are you kidding! I had just set the most impossible goal. Yet, last week, I did the most incredible thing, I skied down an intermediate run!!! I feel like a new me...

Ever since I was diagnosed with scoliosis seven years ago, I have worked with a number of doctors, trainers, and physiotherapists -- yet I have never worked with someone quite as amazing as Stephanie. As someone dealing with chronic pain, it is natural and almost instinctual to feel discouraged concerning my health. However, Stephanie’s professional wisdom combined with her audacious encouragement has made recovery a hopeful and exciting process. She goes above and beyond for each patient, catering to individual needs and adapting to the unique cases of each day. Her knowledge and insight is incredible, and I leave every appointment having learned something new about my own body. Every session with Stephanie is filled with progress and laughter. She truly makes this world - and my body - a better place to live in.

I started working with Stephanie a couple of years ago to rehab from a back injury. It was my first experience with pilates. The combination of Physiotherapy and Pilates in one means Stephanie understands your physical issues and can design practical exercises that assist in your rehab. She is able to identify movement patterns that need adjustment as you work through exercises on the reformer. This has led to improved back health, and a greater understanding of my own movement and posture. As someone who has a desk job this has been indispensable. I thoroughly enjoy working with Stephanie. Thanks for everything you have done!
